Taking responsibility for the result of assembly polls, Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari, on the current trends that are forecasting a landslide victory for the Aam Aadmi Party, said to 'wait' for the final result as 'there is still time.'
"Trends indicate that there is a gap between AAP-BJP. There is still time. We are hopeful. Whatever the outcome, being the State Chief I am responsible", Mr Tiwari told reporters.
The exit polls by various television channels, that came immediately after the conclusion of polling on February 8, indicated that the ruling party is set to retain power in Delhi for the third consecutive term and that too with a sweeping majority.
On the same day, Mr Tiwari asserted that the predictions of the exit polls for the Assembly elections will fail and the saffron party will form government by winning 48 seats.
'All these exit polls will fail. Keep my this tweet carefully. BJP will form government by winning 48 seats in Delhi. Please do not find an excuse to blame EVMs from now.' he had said in tweet.
