Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, on Saturday said that the central government would bring broad gauge railway line to Aizawl by 2021.

While, inaugurating the North-East handloom and handicraft exhibition in Aizawl, he said that incumbent Narendra Modi-led BJP Government was committed to all-around development of the North-East region and its harmonious growth. “More than 23,000 people in Mizoram were given LPG connections under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana”, Shah added. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has relentlessly contemplated taking the region to move ahead and achieve more progress.

Union Minister reiterated that the Modi government has decided to make bamboo as a grass species so that it could economically be made available to the local people. From this decision, the best benefit will be for the North-East region.
