Ujjain cop dies due to COVID-19

As another ‘corona warrior’ made the supreme sacrifice in the epic struggle against the ‘millennium scourge’, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday announced ex gratia of Rs 50 lakh to the ancient temple town Ujjain’s deceased law-enforcement officer Yashwant Pal’s bereaved household, extraordinary pension and appointment of the late station house officer’s daughter Phalguni as sub-inspector.

“In this hour of unfathomable sorrow, I – and every one of our brothers and sisters in the state – stand alongside the grief-stricken family. The Karmveer Medal shall be posthumously conferred on the officer,” the veteran leader conveyed via social media.
