US President Donald Trump has issued orders to ban eight mobile apps in China in view of national security.
Restricted apps include Alipay, Cam Scanner, QQ Wallet, Shareite, Tencent QQ, Vimate, WeChat Pay and VPap Office, according to a White House press release.
The release states that personal information is being collected from American citizens through these apps, which can be used by the Chinese government.
On the other hand, Chinese authorities have once again denied these allegations by the US.
