The situation of Air Pollution in Delhi is serious today

The people of the capital suffered 'severe' brunt of pollution for the second consecutive day on Friday. According to the data of Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC), the air quality in Delhi is still recorded in the 'severe' category.

According to the committee, the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 408 in Anand Vihar, 405 in Dwarka Sector-8, 403 in Alipur, 423 in Jahangirpuri which falls in the 'severe' category.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), AQI was 447 in Bawana in the morning. 408 in Anand Vihar, 404 in Patparganj and 411 in Wazirpur. It is in the 'severe' category at all four places. AQI between 0 and 50 is 'good', between 51 and 100 is 'satisfactory', between 101 and 200 is 'moderate', 201 to 300 is 'bad' and 301 to 400 is 'bad'. 'Very poor' and 401 to 500 falls in the 'severe' category.
