Telangana's COVID-19 cumulative cases increased to 2,65,049 so far with the state registering 921 fresh Coronavirus infections until 2000 hours on Monday.
The state's COVID-19 fatalities rose to 1,437 as four more patients died of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours constituting a case fatality rate of 0.54 per cent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.5 per cent, a state health department bulletin said on Tuesday.
As many as 1,097 people have recovered from Coronavirus between Sunday and Monday pushing the total number of recoveries to 2,52,565 till date translating into a recovery rate of 95.28 while the National recovery rate was 93.7 per cent.
The state now has 11,047 active cases including 8,720 individuals in home or institutional isolation.
During the last 24 hours, 42,740 swab samples were tested to detect the contagious virus and out of which the reports of 594 swab samples were awaited.
So far more than 52 lakh COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) remained the major contributor of the positive cases by registering 146 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, while Medchal Malkajigiri district reported 81, Bhadradri Kothagudem district 71 and Ranga Reddy district 61 cases.
The remaining coronavirus cases were reported from other districts, the bulletin added.
