Telangana saw 609 fresh Coronavirus cases until 2000 hours on Wednesday pushing the aggregate cases to 2,71,492 so far.
Three more COVID-19 deaths were reported in the past 24 hours taking the state's toll to 1,465 till date translating into a case recovery rate of 0.53 per cent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.5 per cent, a state health department bulletin said on Thursday.
As many as 873 persons have recuperated from Coronavirus between Tuesday and Wednesday pushing the total recoveries in the state so far to 2,61,028 constituting a recovery rate of 96.14 per cent while the National recovery rate was 94.1 per cent.
The state now has 8,999 active cases including 6,922 individuals in home or institutional isolation, the bulletin said.
During the last 24 hours, 53,686 swab samples have been tested to detect the contagious virus and out of which the reports of 676 swab samples were awaited.
More than 56 lakh COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state till date since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) continued to be the top contributor of Coronavirus cases when it reported 114 fresh positive cases in the last 24 hours followed by Ranga Reddy district (48) and Medchal Malkajigiri district (45).
The remaining Coronavirus positive cases were reported from other districts, the bulletin added.
