The BSE Sensex on Friday gained by 135 pts at 52,367.52 in the opening session following gains in Finance, IT, and Telecom stocks ahead of Monetary policy today.
The Nifty too moved up by 22 pts to 15,712.50.
The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 52,368.61 and 52,217.85 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 15,712.20 and 15,680.70 pts respectively.
The Mid Cap moved up by 0.43 pc and Small Cap by 0.65pc.
The gainers were ONGC by 2.69 pc to Rs 125.95, M & M by 0.94 pc to Rs 809.60 and Tech Mahindra by 0.73 pc to Rs 1021.30.
The losers were Nestle India by 0.98 pc to Rs 17,621.25, Maruti Suzuki by 0.64 pc to Rs 7161, Hind Unilever by 0.52 pc to Rs 2349.65 and Bajaj Auto by 0.43 pc to Rs 4256.10.
