The BSE Sensex on Friday ended negative at 38,128.90, easing by 11.57 points as selling was seen in Metal, Realty, Bankex and Finance stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange too eased by 21.30 points to 11,194.15.
The Nifty recorded days high and low at 11,225.40 and 11,090.30 points respectively.
Gaining by 268 on Thursday, the Sensex opened in red, down by 191 points to 37,949.
During the day it plummeted nearly 392 points to 37,748.41 days low.
In late trade, it erased earlier losses but managed to end negative only at 38,128.90, fell only by 11.58 points from its previous close.
The sectoral indices like Metal, Realty, Bankex, Telecom and Finance stocks dragged the market.
In scrips, Axis Bank, SBI, ICICI Bank, ONGC and HDFC slipped while HCL Technologies, Reliance industries, Tech Mahindra and Sun Pharma rose that capped from further declined, broker informed.
The Mid Cap fell by 0.59 per cent and Small Cap by 0.23 per cent.
In 30 scrips, 22 declined while eight advanced.
