Rijiju gets additional charge of Ministry of AYUSH

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju on Tuesday was given additional charge of the Ministry of AYUSH.
According to a statement issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan late this evening, President Ram Nath Kovind, as advised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, directed that during the hospitalisation and treatment of Shripad Yesso Naik, following a road accident, his portfolio related to the Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy (AYUSH), be temporarily assigned to Mr Rijiju, Minister of State (Independent Charge), in addition to his existing portfolios.
The President further directed that this arrangement may continue till Mr Naik resumes his work related to the Ministry of AYUSH.
Mr Naik was holding Independent Charge as Minister of State for the Ministry of AYUSH and Minister of State in the Ministry of Defence,
