Rahul said amidst threat of Trump, first countrymen should get medicine

Amid the threat of US President Donald Trump 's retaliation over the supply of Hydroxychloroquine, a drug used to treat corona, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has said that the government should first ensure life to its citizens without coming under pressure from anyone.

Gandhi said on Tuesday that firstly the need of our citizens should be met and they should get adequate amount of medicines and only then the needy countries should be helped.

He tweeted that friendship does not change. India should help all the needy countries in times of crisis, but first of all, adequate life-saving medicine should be available for the countrymen.
