Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday expressed grief over the demise of Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Eswatini.


In a tweet, the Prime Minister said, "My deepest condolences to the Government and people of the Kingdom of Eswatini for the tragic demise of Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini. Our prayers and thoughts are with the bereaved family."


Dlamini, who was undergoing treatment for COVID-19 in South Africa, passed away at the age 52 years.


The government of Eswatini said Prime Minister Ambrose Dlamini has died, four weeks after he tested positive for Novel Coronavirus.


A government statement said Dlamini died on Sunday afternoon in a hospital in South Africa.
