Himachal Pradesh Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj has said that an oxygen plant will be set up in the city soon to meet the demand of oxygen in hospitals.
He directed the officials to mark the land soon for setting up the plant. Shri Bhardwaj was presiding over the review meeting of Covid-19 position here today. He said that the state government has taken several necessary steps from time to time to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infection. Expressing concern over the increasing number of patients in the city's suburb Sanjouli check and engine house, he directed the authorities to monitor the situation in the respective areas.
He said that the engine house wards will be kept as containment zones and if there is an increase in cases of Covid, a decision will be taken to keep Sanjouli market closed as a precautionary measure. Officials should ensure that Covid-19 patients get proper treatment facilities and home Covid-housed Covid-19 patients are provided proper treatment facilities and their health is constantly monitored. People suffering from corona should not face any kind of discomfort. For this, proper medicines and essential items should be made available at home.
Shri Bhardwaj said that due to increase in the number of Covid-19 patients, the government has taken drastic decisions under which curfew has been imposed in Shimla, Mandi, Kullu and Kangra districts from 9 am to 6 am. Along with the administration, the public representatives should also strictly implement these orders.
