The northwest region has received thunderstorms in the last twenty four hours and there is a possibility of thick fog and scattered light rain or thunderstorms for three days.

According to the weather center, dense fog is likely to remain under the area for the next three days. Thunderstorms in the night caused the minimum mercury to rise by about eight degrees, bringing the mercury in Chandigarh to 15 degrees and the city received more than five millimeters of rain.
