Amid
slogans hailing him, the mortal remains of fallen soldier, Rushikesh
Ramchandra, Jondhale killed by Pakistani troops in Jammu and Kashmir, was
consigned to flames with full military honors at his native place Bahirewadi in
Ajara tehsil of the district on Monday morning.
The martyr's body, which had arrived by a
special air force plain on Lohgaon airport in Pune last night, left for his native
place Bahirewadi village by a military ambulance by road. Rushikesh(21), who
had joined the Army only last year after completing his training at Belgaum,
was given his first posting in Jammu and Kashmir, where he was killed along
with three others in multiple ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops along
LOC from Gurez to Uri sectors of JK on Friday. Thousands of villages and those
from neibouring villages, who were awaiting Rushikesh's body, began raising
slogans "Rushikesh Jondhale Amar Rahe" after it arrived from Pune
early this morning.
