Lakhs of migrants suffering due to Centre-Maharashtra govt dispute: Mayawati

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Wednesday alleged that lakhs of migrant workers were suffering due to the dispute between the Centre and the Maharashtra government, which was extremely sad and unfortunate.

In a tweet, Ms Mayawati said, "Lakhs of migrant workers are suffering very badly due to the dispute between the Centre and the Maharashtra government. It is important to stop making accusations and rather pay attention towards these workers, so that their lives don't get destroyed due to Coronavirus."

The BSP honcho averred, "Whether it is the BJP governments or Congress government, the way in which the interests of migrant workers and medical workers, who have been most affected by the Coronavirus epidemic and lockdown are being continuously neglected and harassed, is not right and not in the country's interest. The governments should immediately pay attention."
