India emerges as 'retaining market' in Education

Indian students, who were previously thinking of going abroad, need to reconsider their plans, experts felt.

They said such students should give a second thought in this regard taking into account some key factors like uncertain overseas environment and prohibitive costs without 'adequate' value.

Pointing jobs and immigration in foreign countries as 'under threat,' they said, reputed Indian universities are now 'best bet' during the Lockdown.

The observations from educationist came amid reports of top-ranking universities, including Harvard and Columbia, preparing to welcome foreign students online.

The Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted the education plans of around 290.5 million students worldwide.
