The number of people who have been defeated by the Corona virus in the country has steadily increased to more than 8.8 million and the active cases have come down to less than 1.75 per cent.

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 38,772 new cases have come up in the last 24 hours and the figure of infected has reached 94.31 lakh. During this period, 45,333 patients became healthy and with this the number of people who were chronically free was 88.47 lakh. The number fell to 4.46 lakh with a drop of 7004 in active cases. In the same period, the death toll has risen to 1,37,139 with the death of 443 more patients.

The recovery rate in the country has now increased to 93.81 percent and the rate of active cases has reduced to 4.74 and the death rate to 1.45 percent. In the last 24 hours, the highest number of active cases in Maharashtra stood at 1097, although the death toll was the highest here at 85, while Delhi had the highest number of 6325 patients.

Active cases in Maharashtra most affected by Kovid-19 have now increased to 92,062. The death toll in the state has risen to 47,071, while over 16.80 lakh people have beaten Corona so far. The number of healthy patients in Kerala has gone up to more than 5.32 lakh, although active cases have reduced by 245 to 64,719 while 2223 people have died.

The number of active cases in the national capital Delhi has reduced by 1487 to 35,091. At the same time, 9066 people have lost their lives with this disease while more than 5.22 lakh patients have been coronated.

In the southern state of Karnataka, the number of active corona patients has come down by 254 to 24,522. The death toll in the state has reached 11,765 and so far around 8.47 lakh people have recovered. In Andhra Pradesh, there was a decrease of 3174 to 8397 patients during this period. So far, 6988 people have died due to corona in the state and over 8.52 lakh people have become infection free.

In the country's largest state, Uttar Pradesh, the number of active cases has reduced by 688 to 24,575 and 7742 people have died due to this epidemic. So far, about 51 lakh patients have become healthy in the state. The number of active cases in Tamil Nadu has come down to 11,052 and 11,703 people have died so far. So far, over 7.57 lakh people have been transition-free in the state.

In Odisha, the number of active cases has come down to 5317 and 1734 people have died while the number of patients who have become disease-free has risen to more than 3.11 lakh. The active cases of corona in Telangana have come down to 10,022 and 1458 people have died while more than 2.58 lakh people have recovered from the epidemic.

The number of coronas in West Bengal has come down to 24,405 and 8376 people have died after a decrease of 132 in active cases. So far, more than 4.53 lakh people have recovered in the state. In Punjab, the number of active cases has increased to 7888 and the number of people getting rid of infection has gone up to more than 1.38 lakhs while 4780 people have died so far.

In Madhya Pradesh, the number of active cases has increased to 14,974 and so far more than 1.86 lakh people have become healthy while 3250 people have died from this disease. There have been 14,889 active cases in Gujarat and 3969 people have died and 1.89 lakh people have also recovered from this disease. There have been 5404 active cases in Bihar. In the state, 1259 people have died due to corona while more than 2.27 lakh people have become infection free.

So far from the corona epidemic, 2840 in Chhattisgarh, 2401 in Haryana, 2292 in Rajasthan, 1685 in Jammu and Kashmir, 1222 in Uttarakhand, 981 in Assam, 963 in Jharkhand, 687 in Goa, 609 in Puducherry, 370 in Tripura, Himachal Pradesh 635, 276 in Chandigarh, 273 in Manipur, 116 in Ladakh, 111 in Meghalaya, 108 in Sikkim, 64 in Nagaland, 61 in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, 54 in Arunachal Pradesh and two in Dadar-Nagar Haveli and Daman-Diu. Death has occurred.
