The Indian Air Force (IAF) is going to
undertake a unique expedition titled- ‘Kargil to Kohima’ to commemorate 20th
year of Kargil victory. This ultra-marathon glory run K2K is meant to live up
to the true tradition and motto of the Indian Armed Forces.
As per the schedule, a team of 32 Air
warriors would cover a distance of more than 4500 km in 45 days by running an
average of 100 km per day. The aim of
the expedition is to promote awareness about pedestrian safety and fit India
Movement.
While, the glory run team is expected to
reach at Air Force Station Chandigarh in the evening of October 8, it would
move from Chandigarh to the next destination on the very next day October 9,
2019.
