During the 25-day-long progamme, the party leaders and workers, while maintaining social distancing, will reach to over one crore families in the state, handing them letters penned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

State BJP General Secretary and In-charge western UP Vijay Bahadur Pathak said here on Friday that the first priority of the party during this celebration would be to aware the people about social distancing, hand wash, wearing mask and other preventive measures to counter the Novel Coronavirus pandemic.

The party had already announced to hold six virtual rallies in six regions.

Mr Pathak said the first anniversary celebrations would commence on Saturday with live online address by party president J P Nadda, while on Sunday, Mr Modi will address the nation through his popular Maan Ki Baat programme.

From June 1 to 3, the leaders will hold virtual meetings with workers of 98 districts. Thereafter, all the party cells and Morchas will hold virtual meetings for a week, to get in touch with people of different sectors, including industry, traders, minorities, backwards, Dalits and others, he said.

After the Morcha and Cell initiative, the main progamme of the party named 'Pariwar Sampark' would be held for one week, when party workers would reach over one crore families during their house-to-house visit at the block level.

''During our pariwar Sampark programme, we will distribute mask and sanitisers, while awaring people about the preventive measure to counter the pandemic and then hand over the PM's letter about the government's first year achievement,'' Mr Pathak said, adding that maintaining social distancing, only two party leaders will go to the families in each area.

He said after the Pariwar Sampark, the party will go for around 1000 Khetra level virtual rally from June 15. ''In each of these Khetra virtual rallies, around 1000 party workers and common people will participate, who will be given password to connect to the rally,'' the BJP leader added.

Mr Pathak said the programme would end on June 23, the martyrs day of party ideologue late Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.

The first year of Modi 2.0 is full of achievements, which includes abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir and creation of Laddakh as Union Territory.
