The Government of Panama has approved the emergency use of the US drug maker Pfizer and the German pharmaceutical company BioNotech's Corona vaccine.
This information was given by the Panama Health Ministry. The Ministry has expressed hope that the first batch of vaccine will be supplied in the first quarter of 2021.
The ministry tweeted, "The government has allowed emergency use of Pfizer's Kovid-19 vaccine." The Ministry said that it is expected that the first batch of this vaccine will be supplied in the first quarter of 2021. According to the ministry, the vaccine will be given first to health workers, aged people and security personnel.
According to the Ministry of Health, 1,94,619 people have been affected by the epidemic in the country so far.
