France, Germany hope for new nuclear treaty between US and Russia

France and Germany expect a new treaty between the two largest nations of the nuclear-rich world, the US and Russia, to soon limit the arsenal of nuclear powers.

According to the French newspaper Le Monde, French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian and Germany's Foreign Minister Haikou Maas issued a joint statement saying, "We expect the US and Russia to end the current nuclear treaty in February next year." Will initiate a new nuclear treaty. "

It is noteworthy that a nuclear treaty was signed between Russia and the US from February 5, 2011, whose term will expire in February next year. If this treaty does not extend, there will be no agreement between the two nuclear superpower countries to limit the arsenal of nuclear powers.
