New Delhi – India's External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar, expressed serious concern over recent acts of vandalism targeting Hindu temples abroad. Describing the incidents as "deeply concerning," Jaishankar condemned the attacks, which have fueled rising tensions between India and Canada, as well as between Sikh separatist groups and Indian diplomats.

The ongoing issues have strained diplomatic relations, with India urging Canadian authorities to take stronger action against hate crimes and protect religious sites. Jaishankar emphasized India's commitment to safeguarding the rights and well-being of Indian communities abroad and called for international cooperation to address such targeted acts of vandalism.

As both nations seek to navigate these escalating challenges, Jaishankar's statement underscores the Indian government’s stance on protecting religious freedoms and ensuring the safety of its diaspora worldwide. Further diplomatic discussions are expected as efforts continue to address the growing concerns.
