Delhiites on Saturday woke up to a very chilly morning as dense fog covered the NCR in the early hours, making the visibility very poor in several parts, according to the Meteorological Department (IMD).

The minimum temperature was recorded at 6.6 degree Celsius on Saturday.

The IMD has indicated dense to moderate fog in the NCR for next few days.

According to System of Air Quality & Weather Forecasting & Research (SAFAR), Delhi’s overall air quality index (AQI) stands at 492, which comes under severe category.

The air quality index had entered the severe zone on Thursday.

Delhiites are yet to get relief from fog and cold. Due to dense fog, over two dozen trains were running late and several flights have been canceled.
