The
Air Force Station Bhisiana is likely to organize a cycling expedition at
Hussainiwala Border. The four day’s-long cycle expedition of the Indian Force
that will start on September 26 will end on September 29.
This
expedition is meant to keep up with Indian Air Force’s long standing tradition
of fostering the spirit of adventure and undertaking daunting challenges.
The
event is a part of the 87th Air Force Day Celebrations’, with ‘Swach Bharat’ as
the underlying theme, so as to motivate the youth to keep their surroundings
clean. The expedition comprising of 19 air warriors, would be headed by Wg Cdr
SK Behera. It would be flagged off by Gp Capt Jaspreet Singh VM, the Station
Commander, Air Force Station Bhisiana.
The
expedition, after covering a distance of 224 Kms, is expected to reach
Hussainiwala in the evening of September 28.
The
team will also publicize the importance of a ‘Go Green’ initiative by
distributing pamphlets on the necessity of keeping our natural habitat safe for
the future generations. After covering a total distance of 328 Kms, the
expedition would be concluded at Air Force Station Bhisiana on September 29.
