A revealing article from ComputerBase has stated that Intel is planning on swinging a massive savings ax across its 9th Gen Skylake-X HEDT lineup. The apparent discounts are close to half price in some cases, which should encourage some enthusiasts into making a purchase. It’s believed Intel will be subsidizing the discounts, something we previously alluded to thanks to an alleged leaked slide, thus preventing general uproar from retailers with considerable Skylake-X inventories.
ComputerBase has attached Euro prices to the Intel Skylake-X HEDT chips, which won’t translate directly into US$ because of regional differences, taxes, etc. However, the current exchange rate does help to demonstrate the magnitude of the cuts that Intel may soon be implementing:
