Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that 2,49,000 vaccines of Pfizer and Bioentech manufactured Covid-19 will be received in the country by the end of December.
Mr. Trudeau told reporters that an agreement has been reached with Pfizer for the early supply of the vaccine. By the end of December, 2,49,000 vaccines from Pfizer and BioNtech will be received. He said that 1,24,500 Canadian residents would be vaccinated before the end of the year 2020. Pfizer vaccine will be administered to people twice. The Prime Minister said that the vaccine would first be introduced in high risk groups in urban areas. He also cited the challenges of keeping the Pfizer vaccine dose, saying it needed to be stored below 80 degrees Celsius.
