The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reached 147 in India on Wednesday morning, Union Health Ministry said.
Of the 147 infected patients, 25 are foreign nationals.
As per the Ministry, the number was 138 on Tuesday evening that rose to 147 by Wednesday morning.
Fourteen persons, who are said to have recovered, have been discharged, according to the Health Ministry data. Three coronavirus deaths have been reported so far, one in Maharashtra, Delhi and Karnataka.
The country has reported its third death due to novel coronavirus on Tuesday. Nearly 14,000 new infections were recorded globally over the past day with the cases declining in China where the deadly outbreak began in December 2019, authorities said.
According to the government data, Maharashtra so far has the highest number of cases after Kerala and Karnataka.
