Domestic payment technology company RuPay is going to offer
up to 40 percent cash back on transactions in selected countries to its
international card holders. The National Payments Corporation of India
(NPCI) gave this information recently.
NPCI said in a statement that Indians traveling to the United Arab Emirates
(UAE), Singapore, Sri Lanka, UK, USA, Spain, Switzerland and Thailand will be
offered RuPay International Card and will get a cash back of up to Rs 16,000
monthly on activating it.
The customers with RuPay International Card, JCB, Discover
and Diners Club, and customers using multiple cards will be able to get more cash
back under RuPay Travel Tales campaign.
To avail cash back, customers have to do a minimum transaction of Rs
1,000. Cash back of up to Rs 4,000 will be available on one
transaction. Customers can avail this offer by using RuPay International
Card four times a month. They will have the opportunity to get cash back
of up to Rs 16,000 in a month.
