Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday alleged that Delhi Police has arrested Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
AAP wrote in its post on Twitter, "BJP's Delhi Police has kept Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal under house arrest since yesterday when he met the farmers on the Singhu border. No one is allowed to meet them or go inside their residence. "
AAP MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj said in the press conference that Delhi Police has kept Mr. Kejriwal under house arrest on the orders of the Union Home Ministry for supporting the farmers movement." He said that the central government fears that if an elected head of the state supports the farmers' movement then its lies will be exposed. On the other hand, Delhi Police has rejected all the allegations of AAP. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (North Delhi) tweeted, "This statement is absolutely false. As the Chief Minister of Delhi, he is free to go anywhere and it is his right. "
