Uttar
Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, has on Friday appealed the masses to
celebrate the Bhoomi Poojan (land worship) event for the Ram temple in Ayodhya
ahead of the Ram Temple ceremony.
He has urged the people of the state to
witness all these by staying at their homes and avoid any gathering as the
country battles the spread of the Covid-19.

after a priest and 14 security personnel, involved in the Ram temple event,
tested positive for coronavirus. As a precautionary measure, Yogi Adityanath on
Friday urged people to witness the ceremony by staying indoors and asked them
not to flout coronavirus guidelines in Uttar Pradesh. Yogi Adityanath will
visit Ayodhya on Saturday to review the situation ahead of the grand event. As
per the schedule, PM Modi is likely lay the foundation stone of the Ram Mandir
in Ayodhya on August 5. It all will be followed by bhoomi poojan ceremony. The
ceremony is set to take place amid a spurt of coronavirus cases in the country,
which has surged past the 16-lakh mark.
